Autostoelen en reizen met katten

19 producten

Separate three decisions

Choose containment, comfort and vehicle protection individually. A car seat may provide padding and attachment features, while a cover serves the upholstery. Read the construction and intended use rather than treating every product in a travel collection as equivalent safety equipment.

Measure inside the vehicle

Check both the cat’s usable space and the dimensions of the intended seat position. Doors, seat shape and attachment locations all affect fit. The convertible seat and carrier has a specific arrangement; do not rely on photographs from a different vehicle to establish compatibility.

Make stops manageable

Plan where you can safely handle your cat before opening a door or carrier. The portable litter tray and supplies backpack organise essentials for stops. The supplies bag is not an animal carrier, and a portable tray should not move freely around the vehicle.

Check straps and cleaning

Inspect attachment points, fabric and closures before each trip, following the product’s fitting instructions. Clean the water-resistant travel seat according to its cover guidance rather than assuming the whole product is machine washable. Keep every part dry and correctly reassembled before using it again.

Cat car travel: your questions answered

Heb je nog een vraag?

Is an open cat car seat the same as a carrier?

No. A padded seat or bed may remain open and is not equivalent to a closed travelling container. Compare cat carriers and read the actual construction and fitting instructions before choosing.

Are all the car-travel products crash-tested?

Do not assume that. A stroller with a car mount or a seat with straps may describe a fitting method without providing crash-test evidence. Only rely on certifications expressly supplied for the exact product.

Can a seat cover restrain my cat?

No. The rear-seat cover protects upholstery and is not a substitute for appropriate containment or restraint. Secure the cat separately using equipment intended for that purpose.

Can the storage backpack carry my cat?

No. The PawsPack storage backpack is for supplies. If you need to carry the animal, choose an actual cat carrier with suitable dimensions and load guidance.

When should I use a portable litter tray?

Use the portable litter tray at suitable planned stops in a secure setting. Do not open a carrier or allow a cat to move freely around a moving car to reach a tray.
